What people ask before going ahead.
Does this replace my accountant?
No, and that is not what we do. Your accountant handles what the law requires: taxes, statutory filings, year-end accounts. Zelo handles the operation that happens before that — invoicing, collecting, paying, reconciling, organising — and hands the work over already in order. In practice, your accountant’s job gets easier.
Do I have to change software?
No. We start from the tools you already use, whatever they are. If at some point it makes sense to change something, we explain why and the decision is yours. We do not sell software and we take no commission from vendors.
How long does it take to get started?
Between two and four weeks, depending on the size of the company and the state of the paperwork. Onboarding is phased: we take on whatever is causing the most friction first, and the rest afterwards. The operation never stops.
What access do you need to my accounts?
The minimum required for the contracted work, always through named credentials that you can revoke at any time. In most cases we use view-only banking access without payment permissions: payments are prepared by us and authorised by you. Everything we see is covered by professional confidentiality.
What happens if I want to stop?
The processes, the credentials and the documentation are yours and stay with you, organised. We hand over to whoever you nominate and we retain no information about your company. A service that only survives because leaving is hard is not a service, it is a hostage situation.

It depends on the size and complexity of the company: the same level of service at a company turning over 100 thousand euros is not the same work as at one turning over 2 million. So we run the diagnostic first, at no cost, and only then present a fixed monthly fee.
